My birthday is just under 2 weeks - on 31st October.
I can't understand as we get older - and this is mainly women, I might note - that people don't admit to getting older. I think every birthday is special and should be celebrated.
I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer last year just 1 month from turning 50.
So, my 50th birthday celebrations were quite different from initially planned but celebrated all the same
