My first time
Hi, my name is Julie and this is my first blog.
I was diagnosed on 19/3/2012 with breast cancer. I have had my surgery to remove the cancer and lymph nodes on my right side, and still recovering.
And now I am travelling the road most of you have travelled or still travelling. I am scared, anxious and very nervous. I have read some of your blogs and not looking forward to the road ahead but I know it will get better. So I will be "blogging" quite often for your advice and comfort.

Welcome Julie,
If u have already been reading some blogs then u will know that this is a great/safe place to come and ask questions, vent, celebrate..and all of us truly know the emotions/frustrations u are enduring. We are all at different stages of our treatments, and some of us are ongoing..but u have already ticked off the surgery box, onto the next one. Take each step one at a time, try not to speculate what tests/scans will say (too frustrating), the rollercoaster ride will continue along its rails and u will want to get off..it's the diagnosis/tests/surgeries/tratment planning which has u running all over the place, things should settle down a bit more from now..
Feel free to read my story/make me a contact if u wish
Good luck..remember, we are only faced with what we are strong enough to deal with...you can do this and come out the other side empowered-look forward to then

Well hello Chipmunk, I must say I am sorry to meet you but chat we shall.
As you can see there are many women and many stories you can get some info, insight and reasurance from, we have all been where youare and many have travelled this path before us and made it smoother for our journey so ask away, cry away, scream, laugh, release your fears, be scared without worrying about others feelings, not being so strong all the time and vent anytime you wish, there is always someone around no matter what time it is, mine was usually 3:00 am sadly for me, lol.

Hi Julie (aka Chipmunk), and welcome to the site. If you need a hand with anything just shout -- but it looks like you have found your way around
I hope the Online network gives your that place to talk through your experiences - the highs and the lows. As Sam said ' this is a great/safe place to come and ask questions, vent, celebrate'
Cheers,

Hiya Carolynvj
So sorry you have had to join us in the Breast Cancer journey, but also glad you found us. Feel free to stalk, we want you to read our stories and be comfortable asking questions and seeking answers. You will feel empowered through some of the information you will find here.
It is a scary time and one of uncertaintly surrounding your treatment plan at the beginning.
I was diagnosed in 2007 when I was 36 and my children were only young. I am happy to report that this week marks five years since I finished chemo and we are planning our overseas trip in about 7 weeks time. Life is good and as you mentioned it really does make you look at your priorities.
Let us know when you have your treatment plan and we can help you with some practical suggestions and hold your hand. Hope your husband and children are spoiling you and you are resting up before the treatment starts.
Love to you and yours
Tanya xx

Hi Mich had appointment at Peter Mac yesterday & they got me in this morning for a CT & bone scan & am going back in morning to get results. Hopefully all clear...!!!
We will then go home tomorrow (we live in Barooga on the NSW/Vic border abouts 3hr drive for us). Until I get results of scans treatment plan has not been quite finalised as yet........still waiting0 -
Hey Carolyn
That is great news that they are now working quickly to get all your tests done and out the way. I will keep everything crossed for you that everything else is all clear.
I live 4 hrs drive from Perth which is where the majority of my treatment took place except some chemo and I stayed at accomodation organised through PATS for my 7 weeks of radiotherapy.
It will be nice for you to go home and get everything organised as best you can before you start your treatment.
The waiting is the pitts, it absolutely sucks but you will get through it just as you will get through the rough road, roller coaster ride ahead of you.
I am thinking of you and know where you are coming from so hang in there, learn to be patient and just take it hour by hour or day by day, whichever works for you and look after yourself in the process.
Take care, lots of love always, Mich xoxoxo
