Laser treatment
Hi ladies I’m 6 weeks post mastectomy and I have areas around the scar that seem to have set like cement. The physiotherapist has suggested that if we can’t soften the area via massage it might have to be laser treatment. Has anyone else had this

- I had Laser soon after my SMX(with axillary clearance)
It is supposed to help with healing.
I had a seroma and some cording. It did seem to help.
It was done by a specialist Physiotherapist clinic, they also treat Lymphodema.

- Hi yes I saw a physiotherapist who
specialised in breast cancer patients and she did massage ( also showed me how to do it) as well as laser to break up scar tissue.
I was referred to her by my breast cancer nurse. - @Zoffiel thanks for replying 😊
- Yes. Years ago when I was in a similar situation post 2MX. It helped on one side. It's not painful or invasive and I think it's worth a try.
