So Tired of not being heard

At the moment i am just tired all the time, everything just seems to be an effort.
I emailed the admin at work a week ago regarding an up coming roster.  A month ago i pre warned them that November for me was full of appointments in the first 3 weeks.
So today after a lot of discussion i now know what’s happening from next week and my drive time has gone from 20 minutes to minimum of an hour depending on traffic just to get to work
And I’m rostered most days either side of appointments. She was pushing to get me to commit to the days after my oncologist appointment. I stuck to my guns re no commitment till i know what’s happening.
I love my work. Must do I’ve been there 22 years. Just the effort to get up and get moving in the morning is incredible.
3 weeks and all the tests and scans will be done and the results will be in.
That my woe is me for this month.

Well I hear you @cranky_granny.  Good you stuck to your guns on those appointment days. What is wrong with people. You did the right thing giving them a heads up too. It is so important to set those boundaries. I hope you get some rest in. All the running around to appointments and waiting for results is exhausting. Take care

At this Covid time, they'd be used to changing rosters often ..... are you able to go higher & have a chat with the roster manager's boss?  Take care, all the best - anniversary appointments are always a tad stressful xx

@arpie its covid and retirement of staff that’s causing all this rostering problems. We went from 18 to 5 closed 2 offices just to cope. Besides my normal hours in the office I became the click and collect. Im just tired as dealing with all the BC shit that goes on in my life outside of work.
BTWay The talks were with the top of the chain.
Staff cant be derived from agencies as its specialised work.
52 months until I can retire. Who’s counting.

Yes, the countdown!  All the best when your retirement happens.  I think the politics is what got to me also, and on top not having great health, so I can really relate to that. Best wishes. xx

Excellent @cranky_granny ! Thing is, you shouldn't have to get to the point where the next step is throwing a tantrum for someone up the food chain to realise 'Oh, she's serious. Best listen to her.'
And they wonder why we count the days. Enjoy your time off. MXX
