Decisions on my nipples

Hi All, I have recently had a double, nipple sparing, mastectomy and reconstruction. However, I have to have more of the teat removed as there is still cancer in it. Therefore, the surgeon has asked if I want to remove the other teat from my non-cancer breast, so they look equal. I just don’t know what to do, should I make them the same? Or keep what I have?

Hello @LozzaG
I also had a nipple/skin sparing double mastectomy. Post surgery was discovered left nipple had DCIS. I chose to wait and got radiation first, and now have surgery booked to remove it. Only the left, am keeping my right one. I want at least one that’s originally mine, and will just get left one tattooed or reconstructed. I don’t care if they don’t exactly match. But up to you really. Just think about what’s more important to you 👌🏻0
