Hello everyone,
Welcome to our fortnightly Friday update. A very warm welcome to all our new members who have come on board in the last few weeks, don’t forget to check out the Online community info tab for more information.
We are now into our 3rd week of spring and it such a beautiful time of the year. With Covid-19 restrictions easing in some states I’m starting to feel like we are beginning to see some light out of this very long tunnel.
I hope you are travelling well and looking after you.

Can-Sleep: Making night time sleep problems go away. A guide for people with cancer.
Following on from the thread commenced by @Kamada I wanted to highlight the Can-Sleep resource that was developed by the psychology team at Peter Mac. We know that as many as 6 in 10 cancer survivors have problems with insomnia which can impact well-being. This book contains a number of helpful tools that you can do yourself to help with sleeping better.
BCNA’s leadership will ensure patient voices are heard.
BCNA has a long and proud history of having a strong voice on patient or consumer needs. It is, in fact, the foundation upon which we were built. We have never been afraid to speak up and hold strong on the issues that matter to people affected by breast cancer. The voice of consumers has never been more important than right now. Read more

Host A
Party With Purpose This October
The Pink Bun campaign (8-28 October) is a wonderful opportunity for you to be involved with both your community and your local Bakers Delight bakery. Your generosity ensures we’re here to support the 20,000 women and men expected to be diagnosed with breast this year.
A great way to support is to host a Pink Bun Party fundraiser with your workplace, school, social or community group (please check and adhere to COVID-19 restrictions in your location). This year we have also included a virtual Pink Bun Party option so you can still ‘get together’ with friends and family, even if you can’t physically ‘be together’. Click here to find out more.
OTHER
WAYS TO SUPPORT THE PINK BUN CAMPAIGN
I CAN GO INTO A BAKERY
Find your nearest Bakers Delight bakery and show your support the traditional way:
- Buy a Pink Bun or better still buy a 6-pack of Pink Buns (from Thursday 8 October to Wednesday 28 October).
- Purchase a pink lady silhouette for a gold coin donation and write a message of support.
- Make a donation in store via the donation tins on the counter or, if you prefer, you can ask Bakers Delight’s friendly staff to add a donation to your purchase at the register.
- Just pop in to your local Bakers Delight store and say thank you to the staff for 20 years of support.
I CANNOT GO INTO A BAKERY
Show your support in a virtual way:
