Get Active and Keep Well online group challenge!

Set yourself the goal of practicing mindfulness for at least five minutes every day this May. Mindfulness exercises allow you to be present and aware of what is actually happening to you by not allowing your attention to drift off to what happened to you yesterday or might happen to you tomorrow. Mindfulness can give you back some sense of control over your thoughts and feelings. Rather than having the sense that you are being pushed around by your feelings and thoughts, you can learn to be able to have some influence over them.

Share your mindfulness story this May and go in the draw to WIN a mindfulness pack.

How has mindfulness helped you? How do you practice mindfulness? Why have you found it difficult to practice mindfulness? Answer these questions or share your story in the Get Active and Keep Well online group from today until Friday the 27th of May. Share as much or little as you like, we want to hear from you.

One ‘May you be Mindful’ winner will be chosen at random from those who post about their mindfulness journey in the Get Active and Keep Well group throughout May.

Prize pack includes: Adult colouring book, set of 12 colouring pencils, Pure DKNY ‘more than a fragrance’ vanilla gift set and a BCNA mindful reminder bracelet. The winner will be announced in the Get Active and Keep Well online group on Monday the 30th of May.

Useful Resources - Smiling Mind are offering a 5 week online program this May. The program will follow the Adult Program in the Smiling Mind app and consist of weekly emails that provide you with different tips, tricks, activities and challenges to help you on your mindfulness journey. Smiling Mind has also put together a FREE mindfulness guide which you can download here to support you through May including some downloadable meditations.
