Hi DanielleS,
Thanks for the welcome to this fantastic page. I've been recently diagnosed with BC and am waiting to see a surgeon in the public sector so I'm at the moment riding the rollercoaster

Hi Rowdy,
I'm not sure if my trip or journey or whatever it is has started, maybe it has and I'm not feeling it.. hahaha... Either that or I'm in denial at the moment. It's hard and everything.
But I'm taking small steps well trying too...
Hope your going well
Take Care
Leisa xx

Hi DanielleS,
I had my lumpectomy last week with sentinel nodes also removed. Returned to my surgeon today and now have my referral to an oncologist. As my BC is early (but a stage 2 tumour), HER negative but hormone positive he thinks I may be a candidate for brachytherapy - in addition to hormone therapy. Has anyone had brachytherapy? What should I expect? At the moment I am not looking forward to my breast having more more things inserted into it! Still raw, sore and taking the whole situation in.
Thanks :-)0 -
Hello, I was diagnosed with DCIS Intermediate Grade on 18th November 2014.
Have no idea what to say but am sure this site will be beneficial for me.
Waiting to see surgeon and have just been going on with life as if nothing has changed. I have spoken to friends and do not seem to have any emotions happening
I guess sooner or later the tears will come.

Hi incywincy
As a recent newcomer to bc I am finding it all a bit surreal. I have friends who have been down our track who have been very supportive. I don't think it has really sunk in though. We will be fine. I am constantly amazed at the medical advances in BC treatments and the support out there is amazing. BCNA is fantastic!
Good luck :-)))0
