Three members of our support group traveled to the Gold Coast for the Young Women with Breast Cancer Conference on the weekend of the 10th Sept. We met up with some ladies we already knew and met some wonderful new friends. What a wonderful way to spend the weekend. The organisers should be congratulated!!!
Innisfail BC Support Group will hold a MFoW at Innisfail Central Arcade on October 9th from 8am. We have encouraged all local businesses to dress in pink, decorate with pink or do whatever they can to promote BC awareness in our area. Some stroes have already begun to display pink in their windows and they will wear pink for the day/week or month to show their support. It is wonderful to see a whole community get involved.
Two members of our group (Zoe Dunne and Grace Neary) will travel to Melbourne on the 26th September to do training to be the liaison for BCNA in the Innisfail area. We are very excited and looking forward to being able to help out our community.
