Hi TonyaM. Unfortunately, there's no way to easily bulk-delete that many private messages. You can tick the checkbox next to the search box and delete everything page by page, but it's clunky.
If it's too much work, I suggest leaving them for now. We'll be rolling out a solution for this in a couple of months.
