Hi and thanks for the welcome, never thought I would be part of one of these groups.
Just before Christmas I was diagnosed with mucinous carcinoma grade 1 tumour in my left breast, a bit of a shock as there is no history in my family but here we are.
As I am going thru the public hospital system I too felt like I waited ages for my 1st appointment but I have now been scheuled for surgery on 25th Jan to remove it and will then probably need to have some radiation..
I have a husband and 2 beautifl daughters (11 and 16) who are being very supportive and positive..
I have also spoken to a breast care nurse and she was very helpful and explained everything to my husband and I which made us feel a lot more positive about the whole situation.
Anyway thanks for the welcome and best wishes to everyone else who is going thru this xx
