Hi @Blossom1961 thankyou for the question and it makes sense you may want to dismiss announcements from view after reading them and to make it easier to see other discussion content. All members can dismiss announcements from their own personal view, but only after they have read it (this action is unique to each user and doe not affect what other users see).
Click the ellipsis button (three dot icon) when you are in the discussion and select Dismiss. No confirmation is provided; this action is immediate.
