Margie, don't beat yourself up about this. You had a vision and put in such an effort and if the event is cancelled, rest assured that you tried your hardest. Winter is a harder time to do functions such as this, since the cold weather keeps people warm at home. Save your energy for another event on another day, and hat's off to you for trying.

@SoldierCrab I told you you can already I thought ? but I’ve already done that sent it to all the local community groups etc as well done radio interview flyers you name it ive done it unfortunately I guess we aren’t a “big enough charity” to support which is such a shame there aren’t any breast cancer charities in Australia that I know of that help pay your household bills, pay for cleaners, or lymphodemic sleeves or appointments to specialists etc. when they can not to mention all the other great stuff they do too in the community. the only other one that I know of that offers financial support is young pink sisters that can offer up to $600 for out of pocket medical costs which is awesome and the bigger charities like McGrath  and BCNA etc whilst it’s important to pay for our breast care nurses and have the counseling services etc  it’s also important to try and offer support like be Uplifted does. Even if they are only brisbane north based. I feel so many families now will miss out as I’ve failed to pull this off. So unless There is a miracle and 18 groups/businesses to buy at least a table of 10 each which isn’t going to happen now at this late notice this event will be cancelled.  Such a great night is planned too I just don’t get it. Good value for money as well. So I thought.  Anyway I’ll re evaluate and try something else now I guess. Thanks everyone. Margie xx

Poohs, bums and wees as well. That is so disappointing, but being disappointed is not the end of the world. Thank fuck for that or we'd all be doing ourselves in. Well it’s official I suck at this shit. After all my effort with promotion/advertising in conjunction with the hotel where it was going to be held and be Uplifted we have only sold 5 tickets of the available 200 and that’s friends of mine. So unless there’s a fucking miracle by the end of the week this event will be cancelled. Obviously you need friends in high places and connections with big corporations to get this sort of thing off the ground. Really disappointed really fucked off wasting all the time and effort and mostly fucked off for letting down such a great charity such as Be Uplifted and Wendy who does such great things that no other charity I know of does. So my goal of raising $10,000 is over. Fuck it. People must be simply sick of giving I guess. Margie
