Hi all so I’ve decided to refocus after the disaster of my previous attempt at the gala dinner. So I’m looking for ideas to start the ball rolling again but this time I’m going to give myself 12 months or so to get sorted. I’ve started collecting raffle prizes and emailing celebs to attend as this seems to be the drawcard for a successful night.
So if we decide to pay someone to attend rather than asking them to donate their time which Just didn’t happen I’m guessing that would be at least 10k to get someone half decent to attend ??? Perhaps @Marianne_BCNA or @Giovanna_BCNA could PM about that ? so we’d have to charge around $150 a head for say 200 people. The gala dinner we had to cancel due to lack of ticket sales was $108 a ticket including dinner and entertainment and we had the local channel 10 bris news lady coming but still not enough to entice anyone.
And I think we stuffed up by putting smack bang in the middle of school holidays too So what I’m wanting to know from you lovelies is ideas and feedback and when and if you aren’t all broke from bc what would you be prepared to pay and what would entice you to attend for a night or it can be a day thing too I’m open to anything really.
I thought of a themed night perhaps instead , a bit more casual
eg an 80s night or similar maybe ??
See I’m shit at this and need your help lol !! Margie x

This year I have had 3 operations for breast cancer. When people enquired how I was I sent the little drawings from my mini iPad. Some found them great and others found them confronting.
