Friday update 2 March 2018

I have had such an wonderful experience using this helpline.  I don't know even where to start.  At the beginning, being welcomed, have a resource to access and ask questions about procedures, reports, expectations, what things really meant, when I was feeling so overwelmed and overrun by white noise.  Knowing there were so many people (and some who stepped up in a such a way) understanding what I was going through and willing to give their perspective and/or call on others who could perhaps give better.  Real help with research through personal experiences, advice and assistance but never "in you face".  Laughter when I most needed it. Support, of which I have tried in my own way to give back.  Almost none of these women (and men) will I ever meet face to face but they are there with me every day while I am trying to negotiate this minefield.  So, have I had a good experience?  Too right.

However, if you want one that is easily quantified and led to a medical-type decision made, the Port or not to Port discussion was excellent.  I have actually referred others outside this group to that.  Everything else just falls into the general amazing.
