Hi Cosette
Thanks for posting our recent celebration. I'm there - far left in pink!
Both past and present members had a wonderful time catching up and sharing special memories.
We had a special presentation for Ruth Cooper, recognising her dedication and devotion as a founding member and our group co-ordinator since 1997. We also warmly welcomed our new facilitator, Margaret Kelly.
I was especially inspired by a lovely lady (now in her 80's) who has rejoined our group after 16 years and is currently being treated for breast cancer for the second time.
While travelling overseas a year or so ago, she visited a group of young women in an African hospital. They were being treated for breast cancer and feared the worst. She comforted and reassured them, simply by telling her own story of courage and survivorship.What a beautiful gift to share!
How empowering is hope !
