4th chemo today & struggling
Hi all, I haven't posted for awhile but today I'm not doing so great, I know everybody here understands..I'm usually in good spirits but today's chemo has been bothering me the last couple of days& not sure why. I have not had a meltdown yet since diagnosed in Dec but just feel tears today..feeling unwell & continually fatigued is getting to me but I'm telling myself I'm halfway there with chemo today..thanks for listening, I don't usually complain ha ha, I will get through this afternoon & keep going knowing there is an end site. Thanks Theresa1View0likes13Comments12 months
It is hard to believe that a year has gone by since I was first diagnosed. An awful lot has happened, some bad and some good... On Monday I had to be at the hospital bright and early for my first mammogram and ultra sound. The best thing about having a mastectomy is I only have to have one side done!!!! The ultra sound found a bit of a complication on the left side but the nurse said she was quite sure it was benign. It is now wednesday and I haven't heard anything so I am assuming all is well. I now have to wait until August to see the oncologist for my 6 month appointment but I am not expecting any surprises there. I'm feeling pretty good at the moment...apart from aching bones and joints. I am enjoying the cooler weather with few hot flushes!!! I hope everyone else is feeling good as well...there is light at the end of the tunnell!!!1View0likes6CommentsLast chemo day - Yeh and double Yeh
What a good feeling. Time does go by quickly as it doesn't seem that long ago that I started. Chemo two took so long to reach chemo 3 then chemo 3 sailed by so quickly then now it is over. Just the "tide to ride" for the next month. Then look out world here I come!!!. I am off to Brisbane to see my children, son-in-law and my grandchildren. Then I'm off to Melbourne to see my big sister and take her with me to Raelene Boyle's gala birthday. I am so looking forward to the event to be able to be with the "normal" crowd and be normal for an evening. And of course a chance to glam up. Surprise surprise, today a new wig arrived from America and it is longer than my "old" hair. I have a short wig that looks wonderful but I miss my "old" long hair. Oh well I suppose I better rest up soon before that "big rock " falls on me. Leonie is on her way back - SOON. XLeonie1View0likes18Comments
