Re: microblading - eyebrows
Hi Carrie I had mine done after Chemo so can’t comment to the side affects. The process itself was only mildly uncomfortable and stings for a bit after. I needed a touch up about 6 weeks after. Absolutely love them and so glad I did it. My practitioner needed a letter from my oncologist stating the treatment was ok (even though I was finished treatment). Have you been offered “cold cap” for your hair. I didn’t take the option but several ladies on the oncology ward were having great success with hair retention. Worth raising the question Good luck with the brows and the treatment24Views0likes0Comments- 0Views1like0Comments
Re: Need suggestions for instant relief from cording
This post has been extremely informative. I’m finding the little cuts particularly hard to manage and now I need to take it all more seriously. Cording continues to a nuisance. Grr. Cudos for getting to the bottom of your situation.8Views1like0CommentsRe: Lymphedema and bras?
I don’t have a bra answer as I’m still figuring that out myself. I’m currently juggling some Kmart front zip sports bras, Lorna Jane front zip sports bras, mastectomy bras and crop tops and those Ahh Bra things. Mention it to your specialist as she might be able to check the compression level. Maybe even go back for another fitting if you’ve used a bra fitter? My swelling gets worse on hot days so perhaps that’s a factor? Good luck32Views1like0CommentsRe: Scan day freaking sucks......yet again. Probable curse words included.
Wow, I was feeling sorry for myself and my 3 dodgy scans but this has kicked me into reality. Your ability to stay present and not completely zone out astounds me. Amazing strength. Whatever you decide and happens I reckon you’ll come out on top. Good luck to you and thanks for sharing x4Views1like0CommentsRe: Numb & painful arm post axillary dissection
Hi @Estherch not sure you’re checking these but worth a shot. I’m currently experiencing exactly what you’ve described regarding the hyper sensitivity. It’s excruciating (give me chemo any day) . Just wondering how you managed this? Did any specific pain relief help? I’m experimenting (with my Dr) but haven’t hit the jackpot. Even the drowsy medicine is not helping me sleep.
