Thanks @arpie - surgery done and dusted! Still getting used to it... if you're in the "Reconstruction" group I've posted about it there. But I got a bilateral reduction, got to keep the nipples, getting feeling back, so that's all good! Now I've got radiation ahead!Re: Menopausal Symptoms
Hi Ddon Thanks for the commiseration! I'm 41 but periods were full on before all this, I think I had 3-4 after treatment started but they've been gone a little while now. I guess there's no way to tell what the cramps are about for now but I think I've had some breast tenderness too so I'm thinking since I'm getting the Paxiltaxel (Copied your spelling as I got it so disastrously wrong in my OP lol) in weekly mini-doses instead of the bigger 3-weekly dose, maybe its effects on my hormones are weakened and it's all coming back? Just an idea. Communication with my Onco has been sketchy at this point due to Corona and tele appointments with other people. I do hope these hot flushes don't last years, they're very difficult at night!Re: How long does hair take to fall out?
Ah yes, mine is exactly the same, I forgot to mention along the hairline at the back. That hair around the ears and neckline is the colour of my old hair, very dark, but sparse. The fuzz is a lighter redder brown. I like the lighter colour too! But I didn't have much grey before chemo, just a bit starting at the temples, and that's where the hair is still bald at the moment. It's still very short right now, probably a number 1, so I'll wait till it gets longer for the buzz. Good to know my experience is similar to yours! I'm hoping for curls when it grows back, I've wanted them all my life!Re: How long does hair take to fall out?
@Blossom1961 I've been thinking of that! It's still fuzz really except around the ears where it looks like normal hair but as sparse as a baby's. Pretty weird. Definitely can't rock this look and keep it covered if in public. Although during this COVID 19 crisis there isn't much "public" any more
