Re: how long til I can drive & function properly after expander to implant exchange
@beccabecca I think putting some heat on your surgeon might b a good option. It's terrible to hear you've had no BCN to bounce questions off. They are so important and know so much about our all different journeys. You could call the hotline and chat w a BCN.. good luck sista20Views1like0CommentsRe: Anyone have advice for me on options for surgery? Newly arrived in Australia
Hi @Janie304, I have been treated through the PA at Woolloongabba. Wonderful service, great breast care nurse, I had mastectomy, chemo and now just started reconstruction. No complaints . I've had private health in the past and to b honest not much difference except the financials.. feel free to reach out x2Views1like0CommentsRe: Chemo starting
Welcome sista, I myself had TC CHEMO for 3 months with no port ( wasn't asked by ONC). If i had a choice I would have said yes please. The nurses had so many troubles finding a vein. Couldn't use right arm as had right HS mastectomy , sometimes it would take 4 attempts which is painful and heightens anxiety. Good luck x33Views0likes0CommentsRe: Princess Alexandra Hospital QLD
Hi, I'm being seen by the PA, so far so good. My mastectomy happens on Thursday this week. Right mastectomy for now and will wait for pathology before planning reconstruction with Lily Virtec ( plastic surgeon). Lily seemed to have a genuine care factor, I trust her and her knowledge offered to my case. Good luck✌15Views1like0Comments
