Surgery

Monday 4 March 8pm I had a mastectomy to remove my left breast and an axillary clearance to remove the lump of fat under my arm that contains the lymph nodes associated with my breast.

Lot of pain in recovery saw me being the last one there. Turning all the lights off and everyone saying good night. Thankfully a couple of people stayed to sort out my pain relief! The staff here at St Andrews have been fabulous and so caring.

Back in my room about 11pm to find my special man waiting for me! Tim has been amazing so supportive and with me all the way. He stayed till the next lot of pain relief and was off in lala land again - me, that is not, him!
