Last chemo done - no more ice gloves too!

Ahh thank you for that!  None of that is on offer for me, but I somehow don't think I could tolerate it, so kudos to you for doing so! 

Such a great feeling. I don't think even finishing radiotherapy felt so good.

Another milestone achieved. Your doing it girl, yay!

They are supposed to prevent my nails from failing out. Had to keep them on for 90 minutes during docetaxel and have them changed every 20 minutes to keep them super cold. Never met a women at my chemo unit who could keep them on for the whole time. They sting like the dickens after a while instead of making your fingers go numb. I know some women don't do them and not all centres offer them.

Great news about your lung function tests and breathing. They told me that the ice gloves as to prevent nails from falling out frond Docetaxel. Didn't stop me from getting mild pins and needles in 2 of my fingers, so I don't think it was for nerve damage. 

ICE GLOVES - protect your fingers from nerve damage and your nails from damage too. I had them only for the Docetaxel part of my chemo. Annoying because you can't do much with your hands during chemo but worth using for the damage they prevent. ??

congratulations on finishing chemo! Do the ice gloves stop you getting peripheral nerve damage? I didn't discover ice baths till after my feet were numb. Today I went for follow up lung function tests and all the breathing problems from 3 months ago have completely gone. Breathing was noticeably better 6 weeks after chemo and now no trouble at all. Hope your breathing recovers over the next few weeks too ??

?????????? Well Done you ! That's the way to go Nadine .... Am sure everything else to come will be a breeze for you after Chemo, Rads will pee you off more than anything, it's a drag having to go everyday , that really is the worse part , but hey ! Bring it on and get it all over with so you can get back to ' normal ' and get on with life .... I love your positivity , you keep tight hold of that, it will become your best ally ???? 

I too have never seen Ice Gloves ! 

You take real good care of yourself , starting with self kindness, treat yourself , be kind and gentle to yourself , and take time out every day to congratulate yourself for how far you have come already . You are a shining example to lots of woman  and men who are just embarking on the same journey as you ...... You give us hope ??????????

I hope the breathlessness settles really soon too , i do know how that feels, i had it before my heart surgery...

P.S - what are the ice gloves used for? I've heard of the cold caps, but never the gloves.....
