I have asked this before, but was not really ready at the time I guess, but now I am REALLY ready and needing the support of others going through this journey/post treatment journey. Treatment is all finished and I guess I have hit the 'now what' phase. Thank you so much.

Hi Ladies, I'm new to the group, this is my first post. I would be interested in meeting up at West End. Wednesday is my Chemo day, so don't think I'll make it for 12 but if I finish early enough I might pop in. I'm just starting to feel ready (I think) to connect with others. ??

Of course there is a need, I'd love to catch up with other womem but I couldn't join for whatever reason . I don't know if it was a technical error or me- I'm not very good with technology. The first group as I said hasn't had any posts since July 2015. Don't know why and the other I can't get through . I tried a few times. Will try again

Why don't you try to join the group again, I can help with this and we can start to ignite the conversation in the groups :). There will always be a time when members will come and go, however there is a need for support in QLD.

The South East QLD support group I tried to join last year and got no reply. They haven't had any new posts since July last year! Don't know if it's still going or not. The other one I couldn't get onto. Must by a me thing ! Thanks anyway for trying. Just as well I like my own company.

Thanks for the link but I've tried them before. All they offer is yoga, exercise classes, Pilates etc - NO actual support group of face to face meetings so I could discuss/make friends with other women in the same situation. Was told to see if anyone when interested in coffee after class but was met with a no . Everyone left straight away or were picked up by friends. Borrowed a wig from them and was told too hurry up as the lady wanted her coffee break! I found the Wesley to be totally unhelpful . The woman in charge was not friendly or helpful. I saw no breast care nurse , didn't have any follow up support phone call or anything during and after my 6 seperate breast cancer operations. The only communication from the Wesley Kim Walters foundation I received was a letter asking me to donate to them.
