Oncologist Advice

Hi ladies

Can anyone tell me if they have had experiences with Dr Marco Matos at Pacific Private in Southport?

I am due to see him Wednesday.

    Hi Fiona, I have tested positive to BRCA2 gene and am booked in for bilateral mastectomy with TRAM flap with Dr Eddie Cheng in April 2015. I was wondering if you were happy with the work Eddie did and if you had a TRAM flap done. I am very interested to hear your story and any advice or tips you can give me on recovery. Thank you, Louise

    I am so pleased that Dr. Mantos was wonderful.  It is important to have confidence in you oncologist.  Good luck with the chemo and remember that we are all here to talk and support you

    You will come through this.

    So glad to hear that Dr Matos is wonderful. I agree that all oncologists are amazing & are a very special breed. I went thru 3 cycles of FEC over 9 weeks and then 9 weeks of Taxel. The FEC knocked me around a bit but the Taxel was easier to handle. I found eating plain Jatz and sipping lemonade & ice water helped with the sick feeling.
