1 Down Only 5 More To Go

A couple of hours ago came home from my first chemo, and so far so good.........only 5 more and finish date if my brain is still functioning properly, the 21st August.......yay!!!

Where I have it done, is in the local hospital, country and with only 2 chairs, it is a fairly personal experience, the nurse, Linda just gorgeous. A special friend came with me for support so between us we had a few laughs, my friend even taking a couple of photos for me to send to family and friends to let them know I was still smiling.

So now wait and see what the next few days bring, armed with medication and any other bits and pieces suggested I might need. Yet another part of the journey, and no...we aren't there yet.

    Hi Annie88. - hoping you are still feeling able to have that lovely smile on you face and if any side effects are starting that they are mild and maneagable. MLE59

    Thanks MLE59 it does feel good, I guess for me it is probably a bit of a coping thing, being able to do the count down bit. So far so good, even only the 2nd day after, but have lots of advice and help available if and when any side effects surface.

    Hi Annie

    I am a little bit faster than u, I'll having my 4th drip this Friday, so far so good.  For sure side effect will happen couple days later, relax and take it easy - it will come.

    I would prefer "mind" well prepare and "feel" it and "handle" and "manage" it.

    Keep positive and we will go through it.

    Thanks Robyn, any advice is good and will take it on board. I have a beautiful border collie dog, so walking with him  (Bart) is always a nice time for us. And yes will get into habit of more water.
