- primekMemberHope everyone is okay and through the dreaded clean up.
- CosetteMemberI've lived in the tropics and through a few cyclones. I know how scary and dangerous they can be. Stay safe, everyone!
- Brenda5MemberYep we lost power too and got pretty wet and windy. Got the power back late that night but had no phones or internet till late this arvo. Got a lot of posts to catch up on and heaps of emails.
- DeanneMemberVery scared during the windy part yesterday. We experienced winds equal to Cat 1 cyclone, so I can only imagine how awful it was for people in the actual cyclone. Lots of trees down and roads are a mess.
No power for lots of us I imagine. We have had no power since 4 yesterday and it says possibly none till tonight. For us that also means no water (no electricity to run tank pump).
Just bought the last 10 litres at the supermarket and wondering how much food from the fridge will need to be thrown out if this goes on.
Heartening to see lots of work crews out starting the clean up early this morning :) - iserbrownMemberNews reports this morning show the extent of the rain cell .............. goodness lots of water, especially around Beaudesert and they say the Logan River hasn't peaked yet..............
Stay safe - We are being hammered on the Gold Coast as I write. Very heavy rain and cyclonic wind. Best wishes to all those effected by Debbie and stay safe everyone still in her path. Jane xx
