Im Outta Here
Hi all
So Ive decided to take a break from the BCNA forum. It has been bought to my attention from one of the moderators that I have offended some people with my language and certain posts.
"It was the swearing and even though it was not directed at anyone, the language in the story conveyed was the main concern. This issue came up last year as well. I know that it is part of your normal conversation Margie and no offence is taken, some members are more sensitive to swearing in the online forum than others"
This amongst other things going on in my life has not put me in a good head space and I need to take some time. During my time on this forum I have received so much support which has been so very much appreciated and I hope I have been able to offer some support to others out there too. I will continue to stay in touch with the lovelies I chat to off the forum and will check in every now and then to update on my case with the superannuation tribunal as I feel this is valuable for some people and I will also let you know about the charity gala dinner I am holding later in the year (date TBA) but other than that I wont be around. I wish BCNA all the best with the upcoming teleconference and I know their will be some awesome input and outcomes with that but I'm just not interested in not being 100% myself and fake that's not who I am.
My sincerest apologies to those who have taken offence to my language but I hope you were able to see past the "language" and have still gotten some advice and support at least from my comments and posts. To those of you who have gotten a laugh out of said posts, I'm happy you had a giggle and hopefully it made this s*&^^y mountain we all climb a little less s*&^^y (again sorry if that offends). Some of you might say "just tone down the language" well that's just how I express myself sometimes. I haven't judged anyone on here who chooses not to swear or said they are prudish for example or voiced my opinion on things I don't agree with. I've just offered support to those people even though my comments might not be considered lady like or proper and it might not be someone else's way of dealing with bc but its my way, that's it.
So it is what it is and I've sent my contact details via PM to those of you I think might like to contact me regarding info on support services and groups etc. or those who I now consider to be friends and I will continue to support those ladies as I know "they get me" and are on the same page and I think this will be the best for everyone concerned. It will stop making work for the moderators as well as I'm sure they all look at all my posts more carefully now lol! Best of luck and biggest hug to you all and I wish you all the best of luck and every happiness

Have you checked your drafts? Just a thought. Often your long ones you lose are saved in there? Frustrating hey? - ZoffielMember
Um ah, @allyjay I'm gunna dob! :)
- AllyJayMemberIndeed @onemargie....remember, some people can be deeply offensive without uttering (or printing) one single Anglo Saxon four-letter-word. They can be rude, dismissive, patronising and insulting, all without a single daubing of colourful paint. Without using bold and clear brush strokes to depict a clear and bold scene, with which we can all identify. I think people such as these are far more toxic and offensive than than folks such as you, who are clear, concise and who wears her heart on her sleeve. I love a well placed profanity, I use them liberally and man....is it catharctic. Sort of like a verbal mega dose of super laxative, it cleanses your inner stress. I fortunately am fluent in some of the most foul language in three languages, including Zulu. It can and does include various implements, domestic animals and exotic wildlife including giraffes and African elephants and rhinos. Assorted orifices are also brought into play, and the bringing together of these different situations, although not probably anatomically possible, just roll off my tongue. Your truth and inner sincerity are clearly manifest in each and every post you have written and I sincerely hope you will return again soon to brighten our days (and nights). Tell them Hamba nyela lo mtondo ga lo bongol. A quaint zulu phrase involving a well endoewd donkey!!
- Sam09MemberHello Margie
I don't get on this site much anymore. However I just read your post and felt sad . I don't swear at all but enjoyed reading your posts and feel sad for you to leave.... please don't. I know what it' like to be in the naughty corner on this site because I've been there not for swearing but for speaking my mind. It is a forum for us ladies the victims of a cruel disease and yet we have people hovering over us condoning our heartfelt conversations reserved for only us .......Do they know what we go through and how we feel NO!!!!! Do they walk in our shoes daily NO! And no textbook can teach you how to comfort us like each other the ones walking in these shoes the wonderful sisters on this forum . So don't be disheartened petty people are everywhere . If you swear then be it . This forum should be liberal we should be able to express ourselves. We are not schoolkids whoever put in complaints needs to get a life just walk down the street and hear the language in general conversation . It' not even an offence any more.
Hugz to you Margie x - DearBMemberF this stupid thing I just did another one of my long scripts and lost it just wanted to say thanks for your support @onemargie. You are awesome and I hope to see you soon back here.
- nikkidMemberThat's great news @onemargie - would hate to lose you. Sending big warm hugs xxxx
- I’m so glad you have sorted things and have figured out how much you mean to all of us here! You have never offended me either, I love the way you say it like it is. This should be the one place we can be ourselves without fear of being judged. My husband cops most of my F words and the rest are spilt when talking to myself haha
i hope the break away gives you what you need, but come back to us soon. Hugs Jane xx - onemargieMemberHoly shit so I’ve just read each and every post you all have very kindly written and OMFG I’m being a big sooky la la now! Probably doesn’t help my head was already not in a good place initially from what happened so i feel extra emotional now so thanks for that but in a good way. I didn’t actually realise how much my comments meant to you all. I’ve received just as much support in return though so I do feel I’ve made a difference now to a lot of you despite my “colourful words” So thank you all again so much.
I will add that I’ve sorted things via the moderators with the persons concerned as I needed that closure to move on which has helped me and the others involved and my head space.
Im sure you’ll all agree we should all be able to express ourselves on this forum as we are all in the same shit filled boat and we are all entitled to our own opinions especially when it comes to something as sensitive as this shitty disease, and whether we agree or not with certain advice or comments or are offended or not offended by certain language we all just need to be there for each other no matter what and just be respectful of people’s varied opinions morals and values even if they are different to our own . I know there’s been certain posts that I have simply chosen not to read or comment on for various reasons as I’m sure you all have felt that way as well sometimes.
I feel very very grateful to have such an awesome group of mates on here and after I sort a few more things out in my little fried up head I’ll try and get back on the forum. Can’t let the fans down lol (obviously im jolking) biggest hug to everyone and thanks again to you all for your comments and PMs it meant more than you’ll ever know. That’s enough of the sappy shit now lol. Margie xx
