Such a lot to update. I was the only one in the 5 of our family to catch fish and I brought home 3 bream and we ate them for dinner that night. Boy does fresh fish like that taste great! Dad ended up staying for the month of
December and I really got to know him a lot better. We would sit on the veranda together watching the tides coming in and out and talk day and night. My traitorous dog decided dad was number one around here and used to hop on his bed if there was thunder around, wake him up in the morning with a toy in her mouth and bang her tail on the bed to get him up. She sulked for a few days after he went home but guess what?
The lowset duplex two doors from me is vacant. I rang dad up straight away and told him the rent. Next day he rang back and yep, bugger looking at a 6ft fence in his NSW unit, he's moving up here for a beach front view! Looks like I will be back in the chemo building sitting with dad for his treatments when he gets up here for his bone cancer. I don't mind that one bit as all this time he has been doing them all by himself. He's a tough old fella lol.
