We had a wonderful day together with 3 of hubbies family joining us for dinner as well. We're pure carnivores with 4 kinds of meats but none of us were real drinkers, just soft drink available. It finally broke our drought and rained with 33 mm and we sat on our veranda overlooking Burrum Heads beach and had a great get together. Even the two dogs were released from their crates after dinner and joined us and the rosella bird Arnie had an audience to sing to. Predawn this morning there was thunder and a bit of rain and one of the dogs who has really taken a shine to dad jumped up on his bed and slept with him. Dad was rapt.
Tomorrow I have chartered a flat bottomed, covered fishing boat to take us up the river fishing. Dads really looking forward to it. I must remember to change his Morphine patch before we set off so he has some shoulder movement to reel in the big ones lol.
