Q. Why do you get so much attention when you are a shark victim and everyone runs for the hills and or tels you to get on with it when you have breast cancer and probably lost more flesh?

I reckon it's because there's an aspect of breast cancer that is invisible.  A shark attack is visible, visceral, and it also taps into a common fear. Sharks get movies. A lot of people don't understand the breast cancer journey. That's why we value spaces like this, where you can come talk to others who do understand.

I agree. I guess it actually holds more fear for some. A shark thing is much more random. We are hear to listen though. Take care. Kath x

Yes I understand where you are coming from but the in balance of health care respect and empathy is shocking. Hugs Peta
