Hello! I am new to the Creative Corner - howdy all! I have de novo metastatic breast cancer, and one of my ways of coping was to start stitching rude words!!! I made this pair specially for a friend going through chemo under lockdown in London earlier this year. A sentiment I am sure a lot of us would agree with! I post all my wicked words on my Instagram @madebyhands.me Enjoy!
Here’s hubby with his pastel drawing of Steve Irwin with the pic he took it from. Also it is his giraffe in the background.
He also did one of Bindi holding a sugar glider. After Steve died, we visited the zoo and presented both originals to them Sadly no family was there at the time - I’ve often wondered where they ended up! Hopefully in one of their homes.
Gosh...a man of many talents....and good looking to boot!!! The drawings are just lovely and I especially like the one of the giraffe...one of the most beautiful of all animals. Thank you for sharing his work with us.
Thanks @AllyJay. He is just so talented. This one is all done by pencils ... and no matter where you are in the room ... she is watching you!! It’s a bit spooky He hasn’t painted for a few years now. I am trying to get him back to it!
Art is my therapist....always has been my way to escape the world..Chalk, . coloured pencil, graphite, soft pastels, acrylics,Watercolours, airbrushing and traditional application... I have been known to paint with tea and coffee also!
My favourite subject to draw is animals.... people’s pets in particular.... memorial portraits are my most satisfying.
I didn’t draw much during treatments etc, however I did draw a portrait for BCNA and fellow Pink Troopers.... called ‘pink troopers boots’, it’s my profile pic and i donated it to BCNA head office.
loving all your work here!
