Can't go for a walk at the moment because category 2 cyclone in Fiji. Denarau Island. Lucky just to have power. Last night I lost the wi fi. Noooo. The horror
My walk this morning wasn't anywhere glamorous but it was early (beating the heat), and the streets were empty and quite pretty, so here's one for the glories of the suburban walk.
On my walk this morning I had a lovely surprise when a big echidna started to waddle across the road in front of me. When she saw me she tried to hide in a very sparse clump of grass. Best wishes to all from jennyss in Western NSW
I walked around a wonderful 'show and shine' Classic Cars & Coffee event in Victoria Park in Dubbo this morning. Fords, Valiants, Morris Minor, VW beetle and Kombi, Mustangs, and lots of Holdens. Check out this lovely trio. Best wishes to you all on your walks.
@Caz1, they are Tassie Black Bream .... and they tasted lovely coated in Panko crumbs and pan fried! I was able to leave 2 with my friends for future meals too,
I actually think they they tasted better than our usual Yellow fin Bream!
Beautiful little birds seen on my walk today after the rain stopped Grey Fantails, Double-barred Finches and Yellow-rumped Thornbills. These birds often fly and forage together. I have to admit; the photos were not taken by me!
On my walk up the hill behind my place ant hills like this are springing up everywhere. The ants are taking advantage of the soft ground after all our lovely rain to renovate and extend their homes.
