Community highlights

Every week we have so much variety in
the posts being shared in the online network.  These can include questions
about treatments, updates on how things are going, and celebrating milestones.

 Creative Corner
in Day to Day

I
recently had a question about whether the Creative Corner was still available
within the online space.  Yes Creative
Corner is still here!  It has just
changed from a group to a sub category so that everyone can have access to it, rather
than it being a closed group. This was in response to feedback from our community
members.  Have a look at the Creative
Corner, it is very inspiring!

Radiotherapy
video

Jenny Williams from South
Australia sent in a video to BCNA of her last radiotherapy treatment.  It’s an excellent video and is a great
resource for anyone who is about to start their radiotherapy treatment. I have
attached the You Tube link below for all to view. Happy to get any feedback
that you may have regarding the video.

Helpline over Christmas and New Year

The
Breast Cancer Network Australia helpline will be closed from 5 pm today (Friday
22 December 2017) and will reopen at 9 am on Tuesday 2 January 2018.  Our online network is available 24/7 and I
will continue to moderate the online network over the Christmas and New Year
period.

 We
have such an amazing group of women and men in our online network, I thank all
of you for all that you do in supporting others going through the breast cancer
experience.  I know that you will be very
supportive of anyone needing assistance over this Christmas period.  Christmas is not always a happy time for
everyone and for some people it can be quite challenging.  See link below to the wonderful Christmas
tips as mentioned by yourselves!
