The Christmas season begins for me on 1 December, which is very close. I want to share with you a benefit I've found from having cancer -- it's so much easier now to keep Christ and his saving love in the forefront of Christmas. The busyness and shopping and all the distractions, the tiredness and overcommitting, the 'doing Christmas right' is so much less important than sharing the lasting love and joy that comes with Jesus.

Absolutely! Keep it simple, keep Christ central, enjoy celebrating with loved ones. Santa still loves to spoil my kids though!!0

This year my youngest is spending the day at her boyfriends family until late afternoon as his Mum is a nurse and on duty from 2pm.
So we (2 boys and myself and my mum) are going for a picnic to our favourite dam to enjoy at lunch picnic and then home to my youngest cooking a simple dinner.

It works for us as last year I was overwhelmed trying to get everything perfect etc for breakfast and lunch.... So this is much simpler and allows everyone to relax and remember the reason we are celebrating His birth.0
