Good morning ladies,
Seeking some clarity!

What is a micro met in a node? Does this mean the node is positive?

From the papers I have read the jury is out and the medical fraternity have differing opinions...

Thoughts?

Means under a microscope they see cancer cells. How they determine treatment will vary. The team will decide and pathology taken into account. So more waiting to find out.

My surgeon said she doesn’t classify as positive. Said she usually doesn’t mention them to patients.

BC nurse said it’s more about pathologist covering their bottom.

I have had surgery etc and am on chemo. Just curious. Provably too curious.

No, @Sunshine0206, never too curious, best to ask questions and get the answers.  No use reading something and worrying.  We know our own bodies and have to be proactive and at times we simply just like to know.  Always ask.
