Hi Ladies, our first ever "Swap Night" will be held on Wednesday, 7pm-10pm, 2nd April at the Cancer Care Centre, 76 Edmund Avenue, Unley SA 5061 (08) 8373 1470.
We hope as many of you as possible can come along and support this ABCFG event.
The Swap Night will be a social event and provide the opportunity for us all to bring along any headwear and other items that we no longer use and want to share with others. This can include wigs, hats, scarves, prostheses, mastectomy bras and swimwear, clothing...anything really, that you think others may benefit from while on their BC journey. Headwear and other bc-related items can be quite costly, and this is a way for us to share our resources and save money, while of course being kind to the environment by recycling!
You can decide whether your items are for "give away" or "loan", and if you do loan the item/s, you will need to decide under what conditions the item/s will be loaned (ie for how long, how it will be returned etc).
We are hoping the Swap Night will also be a fun night, with lots of laughs! Even if you don't have any items to bring along for swapping, please come along anyway and enjoy the night out! It will be a chance for us to let our hair down (if we have any, lol) and enjoy some nibbles and drinks too. We'd like for everyone to bring along a small plate of food to share and it will be BYO drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic). There is a kitchen at the Centre, so can access a kettle for tea and coffee.
