Hi everyone,
I have just finished my chemo and radio and just starting hormone therapy and I’m doing ok so far 😊 My oncologist asked me to do a genetic test back in october and I have finally received my results, I have a mutant PALB2 gene which I understand increases my risk of breast, ovarian and pancreas cancer…. Oh yeh!! I feel like this cancer journey is just the shitty gift that keeps on giving!!

The genetics professor is sending me all the info this week but would love to hear from anyone that has had the same result. TIA Sam

Hi @SamL890
Thankyou for sharing your story and results of the PALB2 gene through the Online Network. I acknowledge this would take some time to process on top of your recent breast cancer diagnosis; you are welcome to join the private group Hereditary Genetic Mutations and Breast Cancer if you haven't already.
Also wanted to share the below information relevant to the topic:- Facts for people and families with a faulty PALB2 gene
