@skeetie,
I’m not cold capping so can’t help with answers. Should there be no one here who is able to answer your question, there is a cold capping FB network group where the ladies (from mainly Us/UK/AU) shared their experiences and also post questions: Paxman scalp Cooling group: https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiU6rSrjZOCAxX6s1YBHSkzA1EQFnoECBIQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fgroups%2FPaxmanScalpCooling%2F&usg=AOvVaw3l2iggeqcjAe2xT6HDjllu&opi=89978449

I kept my hair while undergoing paclitaxel chemotherapy using the cold cap. It thinned, but not too badly. To my surprise, after the chemo finished (within a month) was when most of the shed happened, including all my eyebrows and eyelashes! The eyelashes grew back, then fell out again and eventually returned to normal months later.
I treated my hair really gently during and after chemo. Minimal washing, gentle combing supporting the hair so it didn't pull, no blow drying or colour for a few months after. I was able to look pretty much like my normal self so the extra tlc was worth it to me. I did look a bit less 'groomed' during that period tho.
