Hi, does anyone know if you can still have laser hair removal on your armpits after radiation treatment? Apologies for such a vain question and probably the least important worry after cancer treatment.
I had radio to the breast (3 years ago) but surely some scattered under my armpit whilst my arms were above my head. It obviously wasn’t enough to stop the Forrest blooming under there though haha. Just don’t want to end up with burnt underarms..

Hi @HappySoul, my understanding is that you can still do this. It's been a three years since treatment and your skin integrity should be good now. I didn't get that under arm growth like you but my hair on my legs went wild 🤣. You could always check with your GP or oncologist if you see them to confirm its ok.

Hi @HappySoul Absolutely you can! I asked the same question to both my Onco and the lymphodema specialist. Both of them said laser is perfectly safe and preferable to shaving.

After radiation I've never had any under arm hair grow back on my radiated side.  My other arm gets very little hair.  I usually get this one waxed every couple of months I have about 5 to 7 hairs.  I thought everyone had no hair grow back.  Guess it just shows we are all so different.
