Anxiety and fear

I had a neuroendocrine tumour diagnosed and removed in 2018.
I then found a lump in my breast at the start of 2020,
They found 2 different tumours in one breast,
I had surgery to remove the tumours and some lymph nodes. I’ve had chemo and radiation.
Now just as I started feeling better and positive, I was sent for an MRI and as I have a lesion in my duodenum, they found a 1cm shadow on my liver.

I’m getting sent for 2 pet scans next week and I have been full of anxiety and fear.
I’m trying hard to be positive, really not looking forward to these scans and thinking it’s a bit too much for me to cope with.
I’m not sure what I need at the moment, just support from people who have been through this.

@Bear1966 - I am so sorry you are going thru this - it is not the news you really wanted to hear. I hope you have a strong family & friends to support you.
Do you have a breast care nurse that you can contact to chat with re any concerns that you have? Or maybe, ring our helpline on Monday? 1800 500 258.
Take plenty of deep breaths, try & keep yourself busy doing stuff you like (I went fishing every day!) to keep you distracted. xx. take one day at a time & try not to get ahead of yourself.
All the best for your PET scan next week. Take care0 -
No wonder you are a bit anxious @Bear1966. I would be too. It isn't the sort of news you want is it. However I think @arpie is right saying keep busy with things you like to do. Don't use Google as it just increases your anxiety and remember this scan will get you all the information you need for the treatment plan for this. Hope you have someone to go to the next lot of appointments with you. Best wishes0
