First mammogram and ultrasound

Good evening 🙂
I'm new here and just after a little reassurance I guess. I had a mammogram and ultrasound done and I am just wondering please, has anyone been told they have a slightly lobulated hypoechoic lesion in the 2 o clock position? It's 13 x 5 x 7 and 7 cms from my nipple. I've been asked to do an ultrasound in 6 months
Would love to hear if you have had this experience
Thank you!

Hi @Laalaa ..... welcome to the blog. So they are just keeping an eye on it at this point in time? No mention of a biopsy? You could ask if a biopsy would be recommended?
If you go to the top of the 'DISCUSSIONS' page, there is a 'search' area .... if you type in 'Hypoechoic' - it will bring up any threads where that word has been mentioned before - and there are a few!!
Mine wasn't 'lobulated hypoechoic lesion' - mine was a 'Hypoechoic fat necrosis' .... and I had a biopsy done on it 'to be sure' and it came back as 'fine'. It has basically shown up every year since my surgery in 2018 .... I just had my yearly scans 10 days ago & so far, it is the first time it doesn't appear to have been mentioned this time! YAY!
Take care, xx

Thank you so much for your reply, no mention of a biopsy at this stage, but was thinking of getting a second opinion as well. Just to be sure. I'll have a look further on the site, thank you so much xx1
