Lumpectomy with reconstruction

I’m I’m new to this group. I have A cup (probably AA) and my tumour is HER2+  has shrunk to 16mm after chemo.  My surgeon has told me that because I have small breasts and the tumour is at 5’olock it will be quite disfigured with a lumpectomy.  I do not want implants but am open to a partial reconstruction done with fat or flap from the side/back area. Has anyone had similar surgery?  If so some info on success, recovery would be very helpful.

    Hi there
At my  first consult with my breast cancer surgeon ( before we knew whether it would be a lumpectomy or mastectomy) he referred me to a plastic surgeon he works with who does a lot of reconstructive breast surgery for breast cancer patients.
Although I ended up having a mastectomy ( due largely to the size of the tumour) the plastic surgeon also does reconstructive work on lumpectomies in appropriate cases.
It might be work asking for a referral to a plastic surgeon .
I ended up having a double mastectomy with delayed DIEP flap surgery.
