A huge Happy 70th Birthday wish to @AnnieC for Friday, 27th August ..... Twinee!! (Private joke!). Can't wait til we can meet up in Darwin again - in a year or two when this bloody Covid is 'over'! grrrr
I hope you have a really special day & enjoy a lovely celebration with Ian and your friends, with celebrations over several days xxx
and a more colourful one ...... Happy Birthday, Chookie - as in the dancers .... !
Thankyou everyone for your Birthday Wishes. Celebrations of this auspicious year with a zero and a seven in it started on Thursday afternoon with a pretentious High Tea in our new Garden Room (enclosed back verandah with some plants) with four girlfriends of similar age.
High Tea involved home made sausage rolls, crustless sandwiches (not cucumber), scones with jam and cream and, the best of the best, Fairy Bread! Tea, coffee and some red and white stuff was also served.
Kimberley Formal was the dress of the day. Pearls were obligatory but not shoes and stockings.
Then an intimate lunch with my Lover on the Friday. Well we went to the local pub for steak sandwiches and chips and then home for a camp (Kimberley lingo for a Nanna Nap)!
Oh @gumnut, now I do feel priviledged and special. Two birthday cakes. So good that they are virtual, as having lost 25kg over the last two years, I would rather not gain that weight back (although the birthday chocolates may have now made that too late).
My thanks to you for your birthday wishes role in recognising forum members' birthdays, makes us feel very special.
Hey @Annie C Just checked in and saw you've clocked up the big 70, congrats for that. If you are looking for the 25kgs you lost, I might have found over half of it. Mxx
