I heard this segment on ABC Nightlife last night. It's always interesting to learn about clinical trials and achievements.

- arpieMemberI knew there was a reason I liked dark chocolate (specially Aldi’s) and red wine .... I assume you would have to be a regular consumer to maintain the anti dementia benefit?? ;) hehe

There have been some weird drug combinations that have 'worked' for various cancer side effects ..... Prostate Cancer side effects from THEIR hormone suppressing treatment has use an antifungal tablet & an old arthritis med that seems to work!!
I wonder if they ever tried it for BC hormone suppression side effects to see if it would help? I'd probably put my hand up to try it!!

- iserbrownMemberWhen I was first diagnosed there was a Breast Cancer Clinical trial taking Tamoxifen and Metformin...I haven't heard of the results.
Metformin is a drug administered for Type 2 Diabetes
