getting fit again

It is a lovely cold morning with overcast skies and I have just completed morning nine of my new get fit regime. After finding gyms that suited me far too expensive I searched alternatives. I found a free app that is amazing and you can do anything from 'only' stretches to a rigorous workout. I have been doing the stretches and some of the basic dance routines and feel fantastic. My breathing is much more relaxed and each day I feel more flexible. The app does try to get you to update to their Pro programme which costs but after a few days the ads for this settle down to one per session and I just click the x button. You can choose whichever workout you feel like for the day and the times range from ten minutes to ??? Check it out and let me know what you think. Free works well for this chicken. FITON is the app name.

I don’t particularly like gyms because I seem to get bored of the same routine and the ongoing costs of the gym are also of concern.
Let me know how you go and if you think it is worth downloading
Anyway, today I am starting my healthy diet. Not too strict but baby steps. I will also start doing a little more of the dance sessions on the app, but may have to do them a bit later in the morning when my feet don't ache.
1. Determine a time and stick to it. Morning is best for me otherwise I find excuses. My workout is anytime before 8am.
2. Too tired. Had this one many times. I make myself get on the app and do the most gentle stretch exercises I can find. Feels so good but no energy is required. This means you don't break your routine.
3. Workout too strenuous. It is my choice. If I don't like the class I simply press the x button. So easy. That x button gets a lot of use.
4. The daily recommended class doesn't interest me. It rarely does, I scroll through the huge list and choose which one I feel like for the day. If I choose one that is over the top, the x button.
5. I love the class but the workout is too hard. I adapt many of the moves so that it is MY WORKOUT.
6. It is too fast. Slow the moves down. Do half as much.
7. Hard to follow. I do have preferred trainers that I check out their classes before anyone elses as these are the ones that I find easiest to follow.
My moves are uncoordinated but no one can see me at home so I just go for it. I even add in extra wiggles just for the fun of it. Enjoy!
I’m ashamed to say I haven’t started yet. Laziness has become me. But I did rearrange my living room, so there’s space now to actually do my workouts. Next step is getting my gear on, then putting the DVD in...😆😊😘😘
