I have not been on here for a while. Discovered that the cancer had progressed to my liver. Have now completed 12 weeks of chemo. One thing that I have learnt through this period is that God is there no matter what and that others do pray for you. Just as well!
Someone recently commented about those that turn to prayer when times are bad. My experience is that I find it more difficult to pray or read my Bible at this time. This is the time when I actually feel his presence more. He picks me up and carries me and so did all those prayers from others.
I am now starting to feel "normal" again - whatever that is in the crazy world of cancer and little prayers of thanks and for others are floating from me to God.

Hi @BarbieAnne Absolutely agree with you. I have had people ask me how I can be a Christian when things go so wrong sometimes. My answer is, how can I not? In good times and bad, He is Good. Big hugs sister. xxx

I couldn't agree more!
Something lovely happened to me on my first chemo day. A volunteer from a nearby Christian church (not even my denomination) asked me if I was a Christian and if I wanted to pray with him. He gave me a lovely prayer which was easy to memorise.
Every day I read that prayer and I knew he was praying for me and all the others undergoing chemo. It gave me a lot of strength and I looked forward to seeing him on chemo days. I went to his church after I had finished my treatment to thank him, he is a very humble and good man - 90 years young!
When times get tough I just usually ask God to give me the strength to deal with whatever happens and always remember to thank him for getting me through. My faith is still in tact. Big hugs and prayers to both of you xxx5
