Points and promotions

I have two questions.  Where do I find out if I have been promoted?   And 2, does it come with a payrise?? :smiley: (P.s.  I'm joking)

There are no conspiracies or secrets. The developers (who develop this online framework for a whole lot of different organisations/uses) released version 2.7 of the online platform last week which included fixes and some upgrades. We don't understand what a lot of them mean but are asking for clarification about the most obvious ones eg promotions and what they mean. if we don't think it is relevant to our community, we will see if we can ask to have them disabled or it may just need to be a case of ignoring them. 
@"Kiwi Angel" , can you go to the activity page and let me know if these are the conversations you are seeing and if not can you private message me an example so I can show the developers as this may be a glitch we need to fix. 
@Sister, they are all new members so I'm thinking when you join you get promoted to level 1 but we will confirm this. 
If anyone else has noticed something unusual, please private message me and I will alert the developers.

I think some people are having conversations in the activity area, that could be deliberate or accidental and the recent round of promotions seem to be new members. Dunno, 

I still have lots of weird stuff showing too - people promoted and conversations between people that I haven’t read but they are either “parts” of discussions or inbox messages that aren’t mine. 

No, it wasn't me this time, but I'd still like to know what it means :)

Your right @zoffiel but I didn't see you being promoted - this is what I saw: 

The creepy promotions thing is still happening on the activity page. 'Promoted to level 1' come on @BCNA I'm not concerned I'm being hacked and there are currently 6 guests on the site at I'm-still-awake-o'clock so there should be no secrets here. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? It's a function built into the site and it's nuts to think a couple of thousand people who have navigated the whole BC shitfight can be fobbed off by 'we will talk to the developers' humph. The thing that fascinates me is my 'promoted' post is very pedestrian, could you not have chosen one that got me reported? I don't want to be remembered as being mainstream
