Anyone know a good female GP on Brisbane northside?

I need to change GP. After 28 years, and increasingly dissatisfied with him, recent consultations have been the last straw. Now, with this journey to face up to this year, I need someone understanding, supportive and efficient. I live at Fitzgibbon (near Carseldine, Aspley, Bracken Ridge, Taigum ...).

Hi @Flaneuse, I have a fabulous GP Dr Lesley Engelhofer at the Barracks Medical Centre Petrie Terrace. I been seeing her for about 15 years an she is amazing. Thorough, compassionate and understanding. I know it would be a trek for you but she's so worth it. Bec xx ( she's been amazing thru my BC journey too)1

Hi there fran I work at Medicrew beachmere and work with a fabulous GP dr jason miller but also with 2 great nurse practitioners. Our lady NP is called Shannon and she is just awesome. She specialises in women’s heath and issues and is so lovely. Nps are very similar to a gp and escalate care to the gp when needed.. they can prescribe and diagnose and treat patients take bloods and perform excisions and do skin checks etc so very thorough so if you feel like a drive (and a coffee) you can come and see her. Otherwise the lovely Bec above also has another option for you and I know she would love to have coffee with you too!!! Do you have any other updates too lovely??? Margie xx1

@Mollygirl Thank you so much for that. It's a bit far away. She sounds wonderful, but I think I need someone a bit closer, given the challenges to come. However, if I don't find anyone else, I may yet change my mind. Fran x1
