A blood test to detect breast cancer

I know it may be some years off until it's practical (or affordable) but that's an extraordinary breakthrough. A yearly test for those at most risk. Possibly a way of detecting ovarian cancer long before you get any symptoms, which might make a huge difference. That would be fantastic. 

I saw my oncologist for the first time today and (before I'd seen the article) said that a blood test for cancer would be a Nobel Prize thing.

The future looks good. Wonder if it will help detecting recurrence. I guess it would. 

Like all other exciting announcements this is a long way off.

Sounds promising. I particularly  like that it has a low false positive rate
