Our beautiful Sharon Driessan aka @Pink66 has peacefully passed. Below is the post put on by her son under her name of facebook letting us know.
"On Friday at about 9.30pm Sharon passed away. Sahe passed in her sleep and wasn't in any pain. (Apologies for the misconception I typed mum out of habit, but I am Sharon's son Douglas.)"
Sharon was a fighter, an inspirer and a loving mother and friend.
I had the privelege of knowing her away from this site. Always just by modern technology, we actually first met through weight watchers online.
She will be missed by so many.
RIP Sharon

Hello everyone. We have confirmed this very sad piece of news.
Sharon had been living with metastatic breast cancer for some years. She worked very closely with us on many issues related to metastatic breast cancer. She was a Community Liaison and completed our Consumer Representative Seat at the Table training. She led the metastatic breast cancer group here in the online network, shared her story through The Inside Story, did media, and reviewed resources including Hope & Hurdles.
Sharon was a highly respected and beloved member of the online network and our broader community. She was a lovely, lovely person, inspiring, and a passionate advocate. She will be missed. On behalf of BCNA, our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
